Welcome to the official Orient of California, Grand Prize winner, 2001 “Excellence in Publication Award, Internet Category” Internet Website of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite ofFreemasonry, Southern Jurisdiction of the United States of America.The Orient, (State) of California consists of 20 Valleys (Cities) of Scottish Rite Masonry in Bakersfield,Burlingame, Fresno, Long Beach, Los Angeles, Northern California, Oakland, Orange County, Palm Springs, Pasadena, Sacramento, San Bernardino, San Diego, San Francisco, San Jose, Santa Barbara, Santa Rosa, Stockton and Ventura with a membership of approximately thirty five thousand (35,000) Scottish Rite Masons in these California Valleys. Please look around this website to learn more about Scottish Rite Masons, and the history ofall 20 Valleys, in the Orient of California. The Scottish Rite has adopted the plight of children with language learning disorders as its philanthropy, and has established a program for addressing these problems in children. Children are tested to determine the extent of their particular disorder, and are then placed in a program that is specific to their need.
